Nelson could not have a better tour guide. We loved the sites and he was so knowledgeable. And also he was fun! Instantly became part of our group of friends. Would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Nelson, you are in for a treat!

Our guide Nelson was overly accommodating and we were able to visit and see everything we planned. Plus he took us to see additional sites that we didn’t know about.

Our guide, Joao, was absolutely wonderful. Not only did he help us navigate the traffic and crowds in Sintra, but he also recommended an amazing restaurant for lunch--a small family-owned place that we would have never found for ourselves. The tour itself was also great, since it allowed us to see sights in Sintra, along the coast, and in Cascais before ending up in Lisbon. Our communication with the Portugal Unknown team was excellent, as they were very helpful in organizing a tour with different beginning and ending hotels and with keeping us updated about the tour. Finally, the cost was very reasonable.

We had such an amazing time on this tour. The knowledge of the area and the history was special. Bruno has perfect English and is just really the best guide I’ve ever had. He is now like family! He went out of his way to make our day incredible. The best lunch spot on the ocean, taking us to the spots we had asked about and even gave us direction on the rest of our trip. Don’t hesitate to book with him!!

We were in town for a work conference so didn’t have much time to be tourists, but wanted to see the sites outside of Lisbon as well. This tour was perfect. We were able to pick the places we wanted to visit and then our amazing guide John planned the perfect day for us. John was an incredible driver, I don’t know how he maneuvered the narrow streets full of hills with a manual transmission, but it was flawless. He also knew so much about all of the sites as he is local to the Sintra area. It was a wonderful day of castles, a delicious restaurant, and a very windy coastline. Don’t miss this tour!

Excellent tour, Victor is a great tour guide, he knows a lot of historical details of interest. We visited Sintra, Monserrate Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. The lunch stop Victor reserved for us was perfect. Pick up and drop off worked great.

This was a well organised tour where we got to see and experience everything in and around Sintra that we were interested in. Ana was open to discussions but it was her local knowledge that was invaluable when planning the day.

Our guide Jon was a charming young man. We did the private tour Sintra and is was a good way to get around and learn some of the history. Our guide did not go inside with us most times ( bc of parking). We stopped at a place he booked for lunch, which was good as well.Overall, good private tour.

We had a great day with Joāo who was very knowledgable about the area and just all round very nice! All the sights were beautiful, though there was a bit of fog. The climb to Pena palace was a bit steep but worth it!
